My Views

I have heavily supported multiple El Dorado County judges in the past, some of which were appointed and then elected judges. I do not have a dislike for the judiciary, just a view that the judiciary needs qualified, honest, ethical judges in order to provide the citizenry a fair trial.

I am a person who truthfully believes in the election process, who believes in his community, and who believes that we need excellent, honest and effective leaders in all levels of government, especially the judiciary as their rulings affect human lives, family and property. No man or women is entitled to any position. All positions should be earned.

 

Measuring Qualifications

Warren Stracener was given multiple opportunities to earn his position. He was asked to participate in the creation of a specialty court and he declined. He had been given multiple opportunities to be moved around the community at various events and functions and he declined. He had been asked simple court related questions and he declined. 

I went in this with an open mind but found his lacking qualifications were measured with research and carefully thought-out analysis. It was a long measured process.

I started this endeavor by reviewing his biography and the above mentioned issues. His 20 years experience dealing with capital staff is not the same as knowing or understanding Family law, Criminal Law, or any other law that befalls an El Dorado County Superior Court Judge.

This understanding greatly reduced his qualifications in my eyes. And of course, I came to find out later through online research that his lack of knowledge is fully evident by his needing to hire a research attorney to find out facts and information in order to make rulings. Yet even after this awareness I still gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I continued my research by talking with a large swath of those in the legal community. I talked to various respected local attorneys from all across the spectrum including Criminal Defense, Prosecution, and Family Law attorneys to find out how they thought he was in court, as his court shields him from public access.

Surprisingly not a single one spoke positively about him. I discussed this with a few in law enforcement and again he was found lacking. Look at his website, and you will see that he has only three attorneys from this county who have endorsed him and that he does not have the support of all the local judges.* Comparatively other judges and other candidates have had many that support them. That alone speaks volumes.

The third final measurement was all the research you see on the rest of this website now and in the future. As the baseball adage states 3-strikes and you are out.

For those who think this site is a FPPC violation, I checked and it’s not.** As the creator of this site, it did not cost anything to build. I am not a part of any other judicial campaign, nor receiving any payment for this site, nor am I advocating for either of his opponents. This site is not in violation of any election codes. Because I am not a judge or judicial candidate this site is not an ethical violation of the judicial code of ethics. I am exercising my constitutionally protected free speech rights.

Finding opposition research on this candidate was very easy. All you have to do is go on Google.com and type in Warren Stracener, add a combination of words or two and lots of information pops up.
